Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green, R-Tenn., announced Saturday that members of the committee will visit the site in Pennsylvania where former President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated.

"This Committee continues to seek answers from DHS and Secret Service for the security lapses resulting in the near-assassination of former President Trump and the tragic murder of Corey Comperatore," Green said in a press release.

Green will be joined by 10 other members to visit the rally site in Butler, Pennsylvania. The members will arrive at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22.

"We will visit the site on Monday morning to better understand how this near-assassination took place," he said.

Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, fired at least six rounds from the roof of a building about 400 feet away from where Trump spoke. This resulted in one death and two other injuries. Trump was shot in the ear and escorted off stage afterwards.

Next week, two House committees, Oversight and Homeland Security, have planned hearings to address the security failures at the July 13 rally.
