An Israeli civilian was murdered during a Hezbollah missile attack in northern Israel on Tuesday, just hours before the IDF neutralized the individual they allege was responsible for a deadly incursion against 12 Druze children in the Golan Heights on Saturday.
Authorities identified the victim as Nir Popko, who was a resident of the Ha Goshrim kibbutz.
The 28-year-old was reportedly doing chores outside when a projectile struck 30 meters from his location. Military officials said the munition was part of a salvo of 10 rockets deployed by Hezbollah militants in southern Lebanon.
The Tehran-backed militia took responsibility for the bombardment, describing the intended target as a local army base.
The killing of Popko has raised the civilian death toll in the region to 25 since Hezbollah launched their almost daily terror campaign against the Jewish state, which they justify as a show of support for Hamas fighters in Gaza.
