Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday hinted that he would release the client list of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, if elected president in 2024.
Trump made the remarks during an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman, in which he fielded a variety of questions about foreign policy, the 2020 election, and his vision for the country going forward.
"It's very strange for a lot of people that the list of clients that went to the island has not been made public," Fridman said to Trump, referencing Epstein's private island.
"Yeah… it's very interesting, isn't it?" Trump said. "It probably will be."
Trump went on to discuss the records on former President John F. Kennedy's assassination, saying many people don't want the documents released because it "endangers" certain people.
When asked about why the client list hasn't been made public, Trump suggested he would "certainly take a look at it" if the chance came along.
"So Kennedy is very different from the Epstein thing," he said. "But yeah, I'd be inclined to do the Epstein… I'd have no problem with it."
