Massive Fires at Tehran Prison Housing Political Prisoners

Massive fires broke out at Evin Prison, the notorious prison in Iran’s capital Tehran, which houses mainly political prisoners.

Prisoners broke out of their cells and ran to the prison yard, according to reports, which indicate prison guards then began shooting at the prisoners.

Authorities have blocked off the roads leading to the prison with major gridlock traffic on Saturday night in Tehran.

Protesters continue honking their horns as sirens are blazing.

Those living in the periphery of the prison are chanting “Death to Khameni!”
