All-woman jihadi cell arrested for Westminster knife attack plot

An all-female terror cell, the first of its kind, has been arrested and incarcerated for attempting to carry out a knife attack in Westminster, according to the Central Criminal Court. The women, ranging in age from 18 to 44, have been given sentences of six to 16 years. One of the women, Rizlaine Boular, 22, who has been sentenced to a minimum of 16 years along with her mother, Mina Dich, 44, who has been jailed for six years and nine months, had allegedly planned a stabbing spree near the Palace of Westminster, according to the Central Criminal Court. A third member, Safaa Boular, 18, will be sentenced at a later date, and Khawla Barghouthi, a friend of Rizlaine, will face jail time for failing to alert authorities regarding the planned attack. Boular received inspiration to launch the attack from her younger sister, Safaa, who was in custody for allegedly trying to become a jihadi bride in Syria. A terror attack took place outside the Palace of Westminster in March of last year when 52-year-old Khalid Masood, drove his automobile into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge and Bridge Street, injuring more than 50 and killing five. Masood then crashed his car into the fence outside the Palace, exiting his vehicle and running into the New Palace Yard, where he stabbed and killed an unarmed police officer. He was ultimately fatally shot by another officer. According to a report by Sky News, the sisters masked their phone calls while speaking of an Alice in Wonderland-type  party. Boular, 22, has pleaded guilty to plotting a terror act, and her mother acknowledged assisting her. The mother-daughter duo did not show any emotion as they were sentenced, the report said.
