A senior Department of Defense official in charge of the agency's education programs made derogatory posts about white people on social media prior to entering her current post.
The chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer, Kelisa Wing, head of the DOD Education Activity (DoDEA), has previously self-identified as a "woke administrator" and blasted "white nonsense" on Twitter, Fox News highlighted.
"I'm so exhausted at these white folx [sic] in these PD sessions this lady actually had the CAUdacity to say that black people can be racist too... I had to stop the session and give Karen the BUSINESS... we are not the majority, we don't have power," Wing wrote on the platform. Her account has since been set to private.
"Caudacity" refers to audacity displayed by white individuals. It is a portmanteau of the words "Caucasian" and "audacity."
"I am exhausted by 99% of the white men in education and 95% of the white women," she posted separately. "Where can I get a break from white nonsense for a while?"
Former Sec. of Defense under President Trump, Mike Pompeo, was on Fox News where he addressed the controversy over Wing's appointment to this position. "They've put her in this place because this is another institution that they have every intention of tearing down," said Pompeo.
Education Activity, of which Wing is in charge, oversees worldwide K-12 educational programs for the children of DOD personnel, the Washington Examiner noted.
