Israeli law enforcement officials announced that an individual was arrested on Sunday, for allegedly publishing inciting material on Telegram that called for the assassination of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The unnamed suspect, described as a citizen from central Israel, was taken into custody after an investigation by the Shin Bet and the national police cyber investigations unit, Lahav 433.
Authorities have not disclosed any specifics regarding the comments.
After processing, he was reportedly released to serve house arrest.
In July, a 26-year-old resident of Kfar Saba was charged with leaving a threatening letter directed at the Prime Minister, on his brother Yonatan's grave at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery.
