Hezbollah Claims Attack on IDF Base Near Acre, Deepest Since Start of War

The Tehran-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization announced on Tuesday that it has undertaken its deepest attack inside Israel since the start of the October war in Gaza.

The militants stated that they had launched drones against an IDF base in the Acre area, an allegation that was denied by Israeli military officials. Officials did confirm that earlier in the day they had neutralized two "aerial targets" near the Jewish state’s northern coast.

The claim comes as the Lebanese-based militia deployed 35 Katyusha rockets against Israel’s Ein Zeitim municipality at the start of the Passover holiday. No casualties were reported in that incident.

Last week, the terror group was successful in completing a drone and anti-tank missile attack in the Bedouin city of Arab al-Aramshe, injuring 13 IDF personnel and four civilians. One of the wounded, Maj. Dor Zimel, died on Sunday as a result of the incursion.
