A Jewish elementary school in Toronto was struck by gunfire early Friday, the third time in seven months that the institution has been targeted.

Security footage revealed a vehicle stopping in front of the Bais Chaya Mushka Girls Elementary School shortly after 2:30 a.m. local time, where a passenger exited and discharged six shots into the unoccupied building. Police who arrived at the scene noted damage to the structure’s front before they handed over the investigation to the city’s gun and gang task force.

Similar incidents occurred in May and on Yom Kippur in October, with two individuals arrested in connection with the most recent attack.

"I can't believe that this is the third time being shot at. We're very thankful that no one was hurt, no one was injured. But that doesn't take away from the severity of the situation," the school's director, Rabbi Nochum Sosover, told reporters. "We want to send out a message that we won't be deterred."

Last week, unknown assailants detonated a firebomb at a synagogue in suburban Montreal, the congregation’s second occurrence of arson in a little over a year.
