Iran Regime is “Destructive Force” Behind Hamas Attacks on Israel

As the terrorist organization Hamas continues to indiscriminately fire hundreds of rockets into Israel, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is encouraging Palestinians to continue the fight against the Jewish state.

“There’s one destructive force behind all the recent violence in Israel and the region. The world’s top sponsor of terrorism and anti-Semitism – the regime in Iran,” said former senior advisor to the U.S. Special Representative for Iran Len Khodorkovsky to The Foreign Desk.

“Who provides Hamas the rockets? Iran. Who funds Hamas’ terror tunnels? Iran. Who tweets about genocide? Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei,” said Khodorkovsky.

A reported 130 Hamas rockets were fired into Tel Aviv Tuesday where the civilian population is dense.

“Hamas’ intentions are clear: kill Israeli civilians,” tweeted Israel Defense Forces.

Khamenei, who continually calls for Israel’s complete destruction, is encouraging Palestinians to “continue this path” of using “the language of power with these criminals.”

“Move forward in the name of God and know that, ‘God will certainly aid those who aid His cause,’ [22:40],” said Khamenei last week, quoting the Quran.

The constant security threat Hamas poses to Israel is being witnessed in real-time by the world.

“Hamas uses its millions on weapons factories and to purchase missiles from Iran, anti-tank weapons, assault rifles, mortars, grenades, anti-personnel mines and much more,” said Co-Founder and CEO of Stand With Us, a non-profit aimed at fighting antisemitism and misinformation about Israel, Roz Rothstein, told The Foreign Desk.

Iran’s involvement in Hamas’ terrorist activity, although perhaps gaining less attention amidst the chaos, is central to the wreckage.

“Make no mistake, this is #Iran testing #Israel’s defense systems, whether or not #Hamas or Islamic Jihad is launching the rockets,” tweeted Senior Fellow at Gold Institute for International Strategy Matthew RJ Brodksy.

Iran is a top terrorist sponsor of Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and various terrorist organizations in Syria.

Iran sponsors these terrorists in an attempt to “entrench itself militarily along the Golan so that it [can] open up a front against Israel, not only from Lebanon and Gaza, but from Syria as well,” Brodsky told The Foreign Desk.

“For decades the regime in Tehran has proven that it is willing to fight to the last Palestinian, or Syrian, or Lebanese,” Brodsky continued.

“Hamas’s heavy-fisted misrule of Gaza is a travesty of justice,” said Rothstein.
