Muslim-American Voters Vow Not to Support Biden in 2024 Presidential Election Over Gaza War

Muslim American leaders from nine swing states have launched a new campaign to kick the commander-in-chief from the White House over his support of Israel’s military mission in Gaza to eradicate terror group Hamas.

During a conference in a Hampton Inn in Dearborn, Michigan, a state with a large Muslim and Arab population, Jaylia Hussein, an organizer and head of the newly created #AbandonBiden National Coalition, said that he and his organization are fed up with the administration's handling of the conflict, declaring that President Biden has "lost the 2024 election."

The coalition includes representatives from Muslim communities in Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, states with massive Muslim populations that make the President's re-election chances difficult, organizers said. The representatives met and publicized their plans to turn their voters away from the Democrat Party in next year's Presidential election.

"Goodbye and good riddance," Hussein added.

The group declared that the #AbandonBiden 2024 campaign will "guarantee Biden's loss in the 2024 election."

Attendees labeled the President as "Genocide Joe" while repeating claims that the United States was supporting "genocide" against Palestinians.

"We cannot allow Genocide Joe to have another term in office," said organizer Hassan Shibly of Florida, accusing the administration of being "directly responsible for the deaths of 10,000 children" in Gaza. "Right behind me, what Mr. Biden should see is 111 electoral votes," said Hassan Abdel Salam, a professor of global studies at the University of Minnesota, to reporters at a press conference during the gathering.

Khalid Turaani of the Michigan Task Force on Palestine stated that the group aims to "bring America back to the right side of history by punishing Biden and making him a one-term President."

The organization hinted that a third-party candidate could get the group's endorsement but stated that their campaign could result in former Republican President Donald Trump's return to office.

A nationwide October poll sponsored by the Arab American Institute (AAI) found that Muslim Americans were abandoning Biden in droves as Israel ramped up its fight against Hamas in Gaza. Seventeen percent of Arab Americans surveyed by AAI said they planned to vote for Biden in 2024, compared to 59% who said they had supported him in 2020.

The survey conducted by AAI was the first in its history that found less than majority support for the Democratic Party among Arab American voters.

Following the Oct. 7 massacre by Hamas, prominent officials have called on Muslims throughout the Middle East, Western Europe, Asia, and the U.S. to rise and kill Jewish people and those who support Israel. In Iran, the Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has praised the international support for Hamas, calling on world governments to cease their support for Israel.

Various Muslim leaders in the U.S., like Imam Marc Manley in Upland, California, have praised the attack by Hamas against Israel, stating that the Jewish state would hang from a rope "like the dogs that they are."
