A Hezbollah missile attack targeting northern Israel early Monday evaded air defense systems and led to the injuries of at least ten individuals.

The Tehran-backed militia said in a statement that they launched "a salvo of Fadi 1 rockets at the Karmiel base south of Haifa,” as local media reports indicated two of the projectiles landed in Haifa and five detonated in Tiberias.

A restaurant and several apartment buildings were reported to have been damaged in the bombardment.

The IDF announced they were aware of their failures to destroy some of the munitions while noting “Interceptors were fired. Fallen projectiles were identified in the area. The incident is under review."

After observing the impact locations, Haifa’s mayor, Yona Yahav, told Ynet News, “This is the first real damage to the city, and I hope it will be the last.”
