An Israeli military spokesperson, Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, posted IDF drone footage on X showing Hamas terrorists operating outside of a UNRWA warehouse in Gaza.

The facility, identified as the agency’s central logistical compound in eastern Rafah, is reportedly a major distribution center for humanitarian aid in the coastal enclave.

In the video, associates from the terror group can be seen firing weapons at local residents while standing near U.N.-marked vehicles.

Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, commented on the incident, saying, "Hamas terrorists firing at civilians from within a UNRWA facility next to U.N. vehicles in Rafah. No lie from Antonio Guterres and Philippe Lazzarini will hide the truth: UNRWA is an arm of the terrorist organization Hamas."

UNRWA, the primary U.N. assistance organization for the Palestinians, has come under repeated criticism from Jerusalem over the years regarding allegations that the institution provides material support to terrorists, promotes antisemitism in their schools, and disseminates jihadist propaganda to the public.

In January, a report from Israel’s intelligence services alleged that some of their employees took part in the October 7 rampage against Jewish civilians.

In February, the IDF announced that they had discovered a Hamas data center underneath UNRWA’s Gaza headquarters.

Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories released a statement calling on the U.N. to “conduct an urgent investigation into the matter.”
