Israeli defense officials announced Thursday that overnight airstrikes were deployed against 10 locations in southern Lebanon.
The operation, carried out by aircraft, targeted a rocket launcher and multiple buildings used by the Hezbollah militia.
The incursion came a day after the Tehran-backed terrorist organization fired 50 Katyusha rockets at Katzrin in the Golan Heights, causing substantial damage to several homes and injuring one person.
Hezbollah stated that the bombardment was directed towards a nearby military base, a claim that was refuted by IDF spokesperson Adm. Daniel Hagari, who accused the group's leadership of targeting the center of the municipality.
Since October 8, the Jewish state’s northern region has been facing almost daily incidents of drone, missile, and rocket attacks from the Islamist group. The repeated barrages have pressed the government in Jerusalem to consider the redirection of some of its forces fighting Hamas in Gaza to counter the threats in the area.
