Israeli security officials announced Tuesday that the terrorist who infiltrated Netiv HaAsara on October 7 and murdered a man in front of his young children was recently eliminated in Gaza.
Ahmed Fawzi Nasser Muhammad Wadiyya, a company commander in Hamas’s Nukhba force, was reported in a joint statement by the IDF and Shin Bet to have been dispatched along with seven associates in an airstrike that targeted his position near the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City.
Authorities identified Wadiyya as the perpetrator shown in a viral video drinking a Coca-Cola he took from a refrigerator belonging to Gil Taasa, shortly after he killed the Ashkelon firefighter with a hand grenade in front of his 12- and 8-year-old sons.
Wadiyya reportedly entered the kibbutz with other operatives from the Nukhba’s Daraj-Tuffah Battalion by paraglider, an action that saw 22 of the community’s residents massacred.
Taasa’s oldest child was not present for the incident; however, the 17-year-old was subsequently killed during the rampage while he was fishing with friends at Zikim Beach.
