Tehran Grounds Commercial Flights as Jerusalem Considers Response to Missile Attack

The Islamic Republic grounded commercial planes this weekend, citing “operational restrictions,” as Tehran prepares for possible retaliation from Jerusalem for last week’s missile bombardment targeting Israeli territory.

State media reported transportation authorities cancelled all civilian aircraft maneuvers from 9 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday, with exceptions for “emergency flights, ferry flights, and state aircraft.”

Similar measures were implemented Tuesday, when the Iranian regime deployed more than 180 projectiles at the Jewish state in an incursion that was largely neutralized by the air defense efforts of the IDF and its regional allies.

The regime's actions follow comments made by Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv on Saturday, where he stated, "Israel has the duty and the right to defend itself and respond to these attacks, and it will do so."
