Several Western nations have asked their citizens to leave Lebanon as tensions begin to rise between Hezbollah terrorists and Israel.

The requests come as the Middle Eastern country is preparing for the possibility of an Israeli response to a Saturday rocket attack, blamed on the Tehran-backed militants, that killed 12 Druze children during a soccer match in the Golan Heights.

During a Monday visit to the damaged athletic facility in Majdal Shams, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told community leaders that there would be a “harsh” response to the incident.

Defense officials in the Jewish state have identified the munition used in the incursion as an Iranian-made Falaq rocket with a 117-pound warhead.

Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States are several of the countries that have issued travel warnings because of the potential conflict.

The safety notifications come as Aegean Airlines, Ethiopian Air, Air France, Lufthansa, Middle East Airlines, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Swiss Air, and Turkish Airlines have suspended all flight operations to Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport.
