President Joe Biden sent some of his White House aides to Michigan to meet with Arab American and Muslim community leaders, one of whom has expressed public support for the terrorist group Hezbollah.

The purpose of this meeting was to "mend ties" with the communities from which Biden has received backlash from over his support for Israel amid its war with Hamas, according to The Associated Press.

One of the leaders Biden's aides reportedly met with was Osama Siblani, the publisher of Arab American News.

Siblani has openly discussed his support for Hezbollah with different media outlets, according to Fox News.

"If the FBI wants to come after those who support the resistance done by Hezbollah, then they better bring a fleet of buses," Siblani said in an interview with the Chicago Tribune. "I, for one, would be willing to go to jail."

He also reportedly showed support for Hamas after Israel was attacked by the terrorist group.

"Hamas is not a terrorist organization, and we have to say to them the terrorist is Benjamin Netanyahu and his government," Siblani told a local outlet shortly after the Oct. 7 attack.
