On Tuesday, the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization released a video of Gaza hostage Alexander Trufanov.
The 30-second, undated, propaganda video showed the 28-year-old wearing a polo shirt and showing no signs of physical injury. The bearded captive appeared to have recently been given a haircut.
In a short statement, Trufanov reportedly said that he will speak about what happened to him and the other missing Israelis in the coming days.
The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, a support group for relatives of the abducted, commented on the matter, saying, “the sign of life from Alex Trufanov is further and clear proof that the Israeli government should give a significant mandate to the negotiating team, which could lead to a deal for the return of all the abducted, the living for rehabilitation, and the murdered for burial.”
Trufanov was kidnapped on October 7 from the Nir Oz kibbutz along with his grandmother, mother, and girlfriend, who were released in a November ceasefire agreement.
His father, Vitaly, was murdered during the terror rampage.
