Israeli military officials announced that approximately 20 rockets were fired from the Gazan city of Khan Younis towards Jewish communities in southern Israel on Monday morning.

The Eshkol Regional Council stated that most of the projectiles landed in uninhabited areas, with one detonating close to a fence at Kibbutz Holit and another reportedly intercepted by local air defenses.

No injuries or property damage were caused by the incursion, as the Jewish state responded to the incident with artillery fire towards the launch site.

Members of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization claimed credit for the attack, the largest bombardment from the coastal enclave in seven months.
