Hezbollah released a video on Wednesday of what the terrorist organization claimed was a reconnaissance drone operating above the Ramat David Air Base near Haifa.
According to the Tehran-backed militia, the footage taken of the sensitive facility, located 30 miles from the Lebanese border, was recorded during a flyover the previous day.
The recording reportedly contained day and evening images of air defense batteries, aircraft hangars, and munition storage structures.
The incident is the third time since June that the militants have claimed to have entered restricted Israeli airspace to conduct tactical surveillance.
Military officials in Israel released a statement on the incursion, saying that the episode did not interfere with the normal functioning of the locations it photographed.
On Sunday, The Times of Israel reported that the IDF is considering the reintroduction of older gun-based defense systems to counter the persistent problems caused by the intrusion of Hezbollah’s aerial vehicles.
