Israel’s Channel 12 reported on Monday that the war cabinet in Jerusalem has decided to respond to the recent aerial attack by the Iran regime “clearly and forcefully,” to send a message that the Jewish state “will not allow an attack of that magnitude against it to pass without a reaction.”

The news broadcaster stated that the Israeli Air Force is currently preparing for the retaliatory strike, although no official timeline was given.

The decision comes as media reports suggest that the committee was divided on how to respond to Saturday’s deployment of more than 300 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and attack drones against multiple locations throughout the country.

None of the projectiles were reported to have hit any targets, as more than 99 percent of them were destroyed by IDF, British, French, Jordanian, and U.S. interception efforts. Most of the weapons were neutralized before they even reached Israeli airspace.

On Sunday, Axios reported that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant informed his American counterpart of the decision.
