Three Katyusha rockets were fired at a United States controlled facility in Iraq Tuesday, according to a report by Reuters.
Two Iraqi military officials told the news outlet the projectiles damaged several vehicles parked near a building used by their government’s counter-terrorism services at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Complex, resulting in no casualties.
A U.S. State Department spokesperson acknowledged the incident and confirmed that no individuals were injured in the incursion at the 350-acre campus adjoining Bagdad’s international airport.
Earlier this month, a similar attack occurred near the location just a day before the Iran regime’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, was set to make his first state visit to the country.
The disturbance comes amid Friday’s announcement of the U.S. concluding its decade-long operations against the Islamic State in the Middle Eastern nation.
