ISIS video: Normandy church attackers pledge allegiance to Al Baghdadi

A new Islamic State video features the two men who carried out Tuesday’s attack on a church in France killing an 86-year old priest by slitting his throat, pledging allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi. The video, entitled “The 2 attackers of the Church in Normandy pledge allegiance to the Islamic State,” shows one of the men wearing military attire identifying himself as “Abu Jalil Al Hanafi” while the other, with a red scar, is identified as “Abu Omar.” It is unclear when the video was filmed, and the clip does not contain the execution of Father Jacques Hamel, which was also captured on video and quickly spread across the Internet Tuesday. Sitting on a stairwell and reading from what appears to be a prepared script, Al Hanafi recites the ‘Bayah,’ or pledge, in Arabic while the other holds a makeshift sign with the Islamic State flag. French authorities have named one of the attackers as Adel Kermiche, while local media has named the other as Abdelmalik Petitjean.   vlcsnap-2016-07-19-09h37m19s295 vlcsnap-2016-07-27-14h17m23s640 Pledge
