Somalia: Airport video shows worker handing laptop suspected of containing bomb to passenger
A Mogadishu airport security video shows two airport employees handing a passenger a laptop suspected of containing the bomb which blasted mid-flight Tuesday in a passenger plane, according to Somali government officials.
The footage shows the workers passing the computer to the suspected suicide bomber after passing through x-ray and other airport security controls before the man boarded the plane, Fox News reports.
Both workers have since been arrested and are under investigation, according to Abdisalam Aato, a spokesman for the Somali Prime Minister.
The explosion blew a hole in the side of a Daallo Airlines flight and killed Abdullahi Abdisalam Borleh, a Somali national who authorities have identified as the alleged bomber. The plane was bound for Djibouti with 74 passengers.
The blast forced the pilot to make an emergency landing only 15 minutes after taking off from Mogadishu
