“It is preferable to know that your children are dead”: Colombian in Israel

ADN America

Sara Arciniegas, a young Colombian who has lived in Israel for 5 years, told ADN América how she has experienced the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.

In the midst of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, Sara Arciniegas , a young Colombian who has lived in Israel for 5 years, told ADN AMERICA how she has lived this experience.

Arciniegas, who is a scientist and works on the development of new therapies for brain diseases, tells us that she found out about the attack while she was sleeping.

"I heard the alarms and I woke up with a start. I didn't know what was happening," Arciniegas told ADN AMÉRICA after assuring that this attack was unexpected, since there are always previous threats.

The Colombian says that it has been very difficult to live these days.

"It is heartbreaking to see these scenes of missing relatives. Yesterday I saw a video of a father that broke my heart. When they called him to tell him that his daughter was dead, he smiled because he knew that was better than not knowing about her. For him "It was a relief to know that she was in their hands and that she was not kidnapped," he explained.

The Colombian hopes that the war will end soon and that people can live in peace and security.
