Geroge Soros has donated at least $1 million to an organization with ties to Palestinian terrorists, according to findings by The Washington Examiner.
The Thursday report confirms that the left-wing 'philanthropist' has provided funding to the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, through his Open Society Foundation.
Although the Gaza based institution claims to “promote respect for and protection of human rights,” their public statements have accused Israel of ‘genocide’ and the group's directors have called upon the United Nations to prosecute Israel's elected officials for “war crimes and crimes against humanity.”
Furthermore, the article showed that Al Mezan’s chairperson, Kamal El-Sharafi, is a known associate of Jamil al Majdalawi, a leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. In an internet post he once referred to the terror chief as a “comrade.”
The Examiner uncovered social media images from El-Sharafi praising the memory of Maher al Yamani while attending his 2019 funeral. The deceased was a PFLP co-founder who was imprisoned for planning the 1968 hijacking of an El Al airliner.
In addition to the tax-exempt money that the Al Mezan Center receives from Soros funded 'charities', the center has accepted financial support from the European Union, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
Former Obama administration aide and spokesperson for the billionaire, Jonathan Kaplan, declined to comment on the allegations when the author requested clarification.
A 2023 report from The New York Post estimated that Soros has contributed at least $15 million since 2016 to organizations that justify the destruction of Israel and the murder of its citizens.
