Lebanon’s al-Manar broadcaster announced Friday that the leader of Hamas sent a message of thanks to the Hezbollah militia for the support extended to the Gaza-based terrorists over the previous year.
"Your blessed actions have expressed your solidarity on the fronts of the Axis of Resistance, supporting and engaging in the battle," Yahya Sinwar reportedly wrote to Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.
The communication follows last week’s congratulatory statement by Sinwar to Algerian President Abdulmadjid Tebboune on his recent landslide reelection.
Sinwar, who has not been seen publicly since his associates took part in the October 7 massacre in southern Israel, is widely thought to be in hiding somewhere in the many underground passageways in Gaza.
Tehran-backed Hezbollah militants have been targeting the Druze and Jewish communities in northern Israel with drones, missiles, and rockets since the conflict in Gaza began. These attacks led to the deployment of approximately 7,500 pieces of ordnance, causing the evacuation of 60,000 residents from the area.
