Israel’s government has compiled a list of potential targets in the Islamic Republic that its forces could strike in response to a significant missile attack on the Jewish state earlier this month, according to Channel 12 News.
The Israeli news outlet cited sources indicating the country’s intelligence planners shared the roster with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for an operation involving coordination with neighboring states.
The disclosure follows remarks made Tuesday by Gallant, who told a gathering of Gaza hostage family members the IDF “will soon respond” to the October 1 incident in a manner he described as "precise and deadly."
Officials in Jerusalem have reportedly assured the White House that any counteraction against the theocracy will focus on the regime’s military infrastructure and will not include incursions against energy or nuclear facilities.
