An oil spill resulting from a ship collision at the Pasir Panjang Terminal in Singapore has spread to other parts of the country, government officials said on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday when a Dutch dredging ship accidentally collided with a moored bunker vessel.

Authorities announced that despite repair crews abating the discharge, ocean currents carried the fuel to the shorelines of East Coast Park, the Labrador Nature Reserve, Marina South Pier, Sentosa, the Sister’s Islands Marine Park, and the Southern Islands.

Although there was no comment on the actual environmental impact of the collision, The Straights Times reported that there were no reports of significant wildlife loss.
