French media is reporting on allegations that a Jewish woman in a Paris suburb was abducted, threatened with murder, and raped by an individual who was said to have wanted revenge for Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
An unnamed 32-year-old from Gennevilliers was charged on Tuesday with making death threats and drug offenses. The accusations related to the sexual assault and kidnapping are still being investigated by the police.
According to Le Parisien, the suspect allegedly sent text messages to the victim’s mother, threatening to “prostitute” her daughter and saying that his actions were to "avenge Palestine."
The woman was reported to have met the accused while using an online dating service.
