Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro is no longer hiding his close relationship with terrorist groups. The communist leader expressed his solidarity Saturday night with Hezbollah over the death of its leader Hassan Nasrallah.

During an event in Caracas, the Chavista dictator condemned the Israeli attack in which the terrorist leader died and sent condolences to the Lebanese extremist group.

“Today the assassination of a leader of the Muslim world, of the Arab peoples, Hassan Nasrallah, secretary general of Hezbollah, was announced,” he said to an audience of his socialist followers. He then adding that, “in the name of the historical revolutionary bloc of the Bolivarian forces of Venezuela, solidarity with Hezbollah, with his family, with the people of Lebanon.”

He also asserted that the attack was ordered “from New York headquarters,” where the United Nations building is located.

Maduro, who has known links to Islamic extremism and has been accused of serious crimes against humanity in Venezuela, criticized “the cowards of the world who remain silent,” unlike him, who urged “Arab peoples to raise their voices to show solidarity with the Palestinians and the people of Lebanon.”

Chavismo's number two and Minister of Interior Relations Diosdado Cabello, had also previously spoken out on the matter.

“We, from Venezuela modestly raise our voice and give a hug to the Palestinian people. We give a hug to all the people of Lebanon and we ask them not to give up—the people of Venezuela are with them!" he declared, according to the EFE Spanish language news agency.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed this Saturday the elimination of the head of Hezbollah in an attack carried out in Beirut.

Nasrallah, who was one of the founders of the terrorist group, was killed along with Ali Karki, commander of Hezbollah's Southern Front, and other senior leaders of the organization. The attack was carried out after a thorough operation based on intelligence information provided by the IDF and Israeli security agencies.
