Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized NATO’s handling of confirmations that North Korea has sent around 10,000 soldiers to support Russia in its invasion of his country.

Speaking to KBS Television on Thursday, the embattled leader described his allies response to the reinforcements being deployed near his national boundaries as "nothing; it has been zero,” while warning their inaction could encourage Moscow to seek further assistance from Pyongyang.

“Putin is testing the reaction of the West, of NATO states, and the reaction of South Korea," he told the South Korean broadcaster. "And if there is nothing, and I think that the reaction to this is nothing; it has been zero, then the number of North Korean troops on our border will be increased."

Zelensky further condemned the Chinese government's diplomatic silence concerning the issue, expressing frustration over Beijing being seen as "one of the guarantors of security in your region," before urging Asian nations to encourage the communist regime to intervene.
