Notorious French ISIS jihadi recruiter reportedly killed in Mosul drone strike

Rachid Kassim, one of the most notorious French ISIS jihadists, has reportedly been killed in a U.S. coalition drone strike in Mosul Wednesday, according to French media. The 29-year-old radical jihadist had become of the top recognized faces of international ISIS recruits, mostly for his recruiting activities on social media. French authorities believe Kassim was responsible for recruiting the jihadists who attacked and killed a vicar at the Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, Normandy Church last summer, as well recruiting three women in a foiled plot on the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris in September. Following the Nice terror attack in July, Kassim also appeared in an ISIS beheading video where he directly threatened French President Francois Hollande. France’s intelligence agency DGSE, is currently assessing the results of the drone strike after receiving intelligence by U.S. authorities.
